Welcome to our Volunteer webpage.
We are happy you are considering offering your time and talents to assist Rochester Public Schools students, staff and families.
Rochester Public Schools encourages parents/guardians, grandparents, and community members to share their time, talents and knowledge with our students. Volunteers in our schools enrich the educational programs and strengthen our school relationships with families, businesses, and the community as a whole. The education of our students takes a community effort.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Dear Folwell Parents - We are thrilled to begin another school year at Folwell! We have an outstanding staff, great kids and parents and, as you can see, many opportunities to get involved! During "Meet the Teacher" you had the opportunity to register on the computer. During this registration, you were asked about volunteering at Folwell. We have a variety of opportunities, including one-time evening events, so if you checked "Yes!" (we hope you did!), you will receive emails regarding different volunteer opportunities. These emails will come from our new ViE (Volunteers in Education) email address (FolwellVIE@gmail.com). Please check your calendar and respond to these requests as you are able. Classroom volunteering requests will be initiated through your child's teacher. Once a teacher requests volunteers, a schedule will be developed according to your availability and the teacher's needs. Some teachers utilize volunteers from the first week of school, some wait until October or November, and some only occasionally request volunteers – every teacher is different.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. You can reach us at FolwellVIE@gmail.com. We look forward to working with you this year and helping you to be involved in your child's education at Folwell.
